Naming Baby Patterson

O.K. so who would have thought that coming up with a name would be this hard? It Seems like everyone in the family has a preference except for Nick who would probably be happy with Tallulah Belle! Hadley comes up with a new name every day! She has gone from Hannah Montana, whom she loves, to Laura Traci, which are two of her teachers at school! Cooper has said since the day we found out she was a girl, he wanted to call her Lizzie. Which is funny seeing how he didn't know that I want to use Elizabeth as her middle name since both of my sisters and Nick's grandmother are Elizabeth's. With all that being said here are the 3 names we have narrowed it down to. Please feel free to leave comments on your favorite and as soon as we have decided you'll be the first to know!

Lillian Elizabeth (Lilly)
Baylor Elizabeth (Baylor)
Blakely Elizabeth (Blake or Blakely)

Girl or Boy???

After much debate if we would find out the sex of the baby or anxiously await until it's birthday we decided to have our surprise a little early! You see, Nick and I had this ongoing bet of the gender of this baby. I, all along was 99% sure it was a Boy and Nick on the other hand was certain it was a Girl!

He came to this prediction after we had a date at P.F. Changs.....He received his fortune and on the back was the word, GIRL. I quickly reminded him that he unfortunately was wrong and it was a Boy! A couple of days later he had a dinner with some co-workers, again at P.F. Changs....once again he receives his fortune and on the back read......SISTER! He wakes me once he is home and tells me about his fortune and I once again remind him that it is a Boy and he is wrong.

So we go for our Ultrasound on St. Patricks Day and the tech asks us if we want to know the sex of the baby. After a short pause we said, "Yes" but I asked her if she could let us guess first when looking at the screen. We looked but couldn't even begin to guess....I will never know how the ultrasound techs get so good at their job! It all looked the same to us. So, then she says..... I see 3 lines!!!!!! I was shocked.....I couldn't believe that Nick was right, after all, being right is a rare occurence for him! :) He just looked at me and said, "You don't mess with Chinese proverbs!"

We thank God for blessing us with this little angel and can't wait until August when we can see her sweet face! God is so Good!!!

Happy Birthday Piper Anne Lane!

Experiencing God's Funny Sense of Humor

It seems lately that I have been in a Bad Blogger Fog! I am hoping to get better at keeping up our blog but sometimes you just CAN'T help being a slacker! Forgive me dear friends and I hope you enjoy this entry!

So, I am wondering if any of you have experienced God's Funny Sense of Humor? I'm sure our family has at one time or another but sometimes His funny sense of humor is rated more pertinent than others. Especially this one particular time that will always seem to stick with me...... literally! So, as I am trying to put together all of this received information, I am having a discussion with God and telling Him how truly NOT Funny His FUNNY Sense of Humor is! Anyway, as usual, He wins and I succumb to the pressure, that YES, God you do have a very Funny Sense of Humor and you ALWAYS know what's best for us!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths". Proverbs 3:5

Now Friends, I share with you my experience of God's Funny Sense of Humor...............So Scroll on down! Thanks

Our Gift from God!

Pretty Funny Sense of Humor don't you think!! Now for all the details! Yes, this is one of the biggest surprises we have ever received and we feel so very blessed to be receiving this gift! Baby #3 will be here around August 16, 2009. And yes, I am so thrilled at the thought of experiencing the summer being pregnant in the great state of Mississippi! Those of you who live here know and those who don't......please pray for me and all the other pregnant people in the state! Cooper and Hadley are so excited, but somehow think we are going to be like Jon and Kate plus 8 and have kids galore in our house. I keep reminding them that there is only one in there but somehow it's not clicking!

As for my sweet, sweet husband, I honestly don't know what I would do without him! He is my first blessing and I have to thank him for all he does. Since the past 6 weeks have been very GREEN for me, he has taken up the slack with everything and never stopped to complain but continues to give me positive words of encouragement! And if I don't tell him that often, thank you Nick for all you do! Words can't describe how much I love you and appreciate you!

So friends, I thank you for letting us share this blessed news with you and will keep you updated on all the current events of the Four Pattersons......OOPS.....looks like I will need a new blog name! Stay Tunned.................................

You had me at ROLL TIDE!!!

Today as I'm cleaning house, I took a break to go check on the kids to see what they were up to.

You all should know that Hadley and Cooper love Alabama Football! Hadley is always saying Roll Tide and sings the fight song when my cell phone rings that fabulous ringtone! It's her next favorite thing to playing dress up with her baby dolls. It is too adorable. Cooper on the other hand comes in from school, throws on his Alabama Football Jersey, grabs the football and out the door he goes! Tell me that their momma and daddy aren't teaching them right!

But I never expected this! If I only had gotten the video camera!

Georgia On My Mind

Boy have things been busy! So busy I haven't posted in a while and I have to start doing a better job at this. Needless to say my computer crashing didn't help matters either. Anyway, on to bigger and better issues.....
So, these are our pics from our latest trip in Atlanta. We really did have so much fun. On Saturday we went to the Georgia Aquarium, "the worlds largest aquarium" and it was really amazing. The kids had a great time seeing all of the sea animals, some Nick and I had never even seen before. The Beluga Whale, rising to our favorite, was the most beautiful, solid white, creature we had ever seen. They always look like they are smiling. But I guess I would be smiling too if I were one of the largest animals in the ocean. Beats being Nemo, unless you go for color over size!
On our way back to the hotel from the aquarium we stopped by Centennial Olympic park. I don't know if I have ever seen my kids love a park so much. We probably should have saved our 80 bucks it cost to get in to the aquarium and let the kids go wild at the park! Their favorite were the spinning seats. I had never seen these seats before but if I could buy some I would have them in my backyard.....Talk about hours of entertainment. (FYI- my camera battery died so I didn't get pictures of the seats)

Happy Hadley as usual!

Our last venue of entertainment was at the Atlanta Braves game. Perfect ending for the guys and for Hadley too, seeing how all she talked about the whole day was Dippin' Dots and wet Peanuts (aka boiled peanuts)..............and Low and Behold she spotted Dippin' Dots and wet peanuts at the ballpark! Life is good!!
